Lahad Datu: If it is meant to be, Mohd Zulkifli Jefri, 54, a Malaysian stranded in Cambodia for 24 years, does not rule out the possibility of being reunited with his former fiancee Musyahadah Hassan, 46, in a marriage, in the near future. However, Mohd Zulkifli said he still needed consent from his three children, Mohd Abadi, 29, Mohd Asmadi, 28 and Syakila, 25, from his marriage with his ex-wife."I would like to hear my children's opinion and their blessing... as I don't want to hurt my children's feeling and if they agree with the plan and give their consent, I will continue with it," he said here.ADVERTISEMENT Mohd Zulkifli said he and Musyahadah were related and got engaged in 1980 before he broke off the engagement to marry his ex-wife.In the meantime, Mohd Zulkifli's elder brother, Mohd Said Jefri, 57, said the plan to unite his brother with Musyahadah, who never married, was already being discussed and agreed upon by both families.Mohd Said said if there was no objection, the wedding was scheduled to take place during Hari Raya.Meanwhile, Mohd Zulkifli's arrival in his village in Tambisan, near here, Monday was greeted with joy by his children and relatives.ADVERTISEMENT Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

For his second son, Mohd Asmadi, the opportunity to hug his father again was like a dream comes true because he and his siblings really thought that Zulkifli had died and the family had organised special prayers at the mosque thinking that his father was dead.On Saturday, Mohd Zulkifli, who was reportedly stranded in Cambodia for 24 years, due to the absence of valid travel documents after the Malaysian timber company he was attached to had closed down, was greeted by his family members, including his uncle, Mustapah Ali, 57, at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
