All Penampang PTAs to get funding from govt

Penampang: All Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) in the district will be receiving generous funding from the government to implement their respective programmes and activities.Penampang Umno Chief Datuk John Ambrose, when announcing this on Tuesday, said PTAs from 27 primary schools and six secondary schools will receive RM3,000 and RM5,000 each respectively."We're well aware of the important role that PTAs play in the life of a school and the academic development of students. It's for this reason that they deserve to be supported," he said when launching SK Moyog's Family Day and Harvest Festival celebration.

He said the funds of RM3,000 for each primary school PTA and RM5,000 for each secondary school PTA in the district will be handed over soon.During the occasion, Ambrose pledge to personally donate chairs and zinc roofs to the KDM-majority rural school, including other basic infrastructure needs requested by its PTA."I'm not an elected representative in this district. But as a Barisan Nasional leader, I take upon the responsibility to help in anyway I can," he said.Other than schools, Ambrose has also been churches and Village Development and Security Committees by facilitating to get funds for the purchase of basic materials, among others.

One of them he said is the distribution of zinc roofs through funding from the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for the lower income groups and the poor.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
