Harvest Festival Cup May 28

Kota Kinabalu: The annual Harvest Festival Cup organised by Royal Sabah Turf Club (RSTC) will be held at the Tuaran's Tambalang race course on May 28.The race starting at 12.30pm comprising five races with the Kaamatan Cup, Thoroughbred Cup and the Class 9 (1,800m) as the main draws.

All three main races offered RM62,400 prize money, with RM5,000 jackpot each.

Honey Bee is the hot favourite along with Head Hunter II, City Beauty and Brilliant Chaser to win the Kaamatan Cup with a total stake money of RM27,400.

The winner will take home RM15,000 followed by RM6,600, RM3,500 and RM1,500, RM530 and RM270 for the second to fourth place winners in the 1000m race for Class I and II ponies which is expected to start at 4:05pm

The 1,800m Thoroughbred Open race at 3pm with total stake money of RM22,900 will see Slippery Eel started as favourite followed by Pop, Send Me The Money and Ayumas to claim the RM13,000 top prize.

Runner-up for the race will receive RM5,700 with third to sixth places each receive RM2,300, RM1,150, RM500 and RM250 respectively.

Top five prizes for the 2pm Class 9 (1,800m) race are RM6,000, RM2,900, RM1,800, RM400 and RM200 with Bongawan Prince II, Jinggo, Romantic Star and Ocean Princess as the early favourites.

There is also an off-course betting live telecast from Singapore Turf Club for the Steward Cup with a total stake money of RM300,000 at 4.55pm.
