Kota Kinabalu: A man succumbed to his injuries hours after the Honda EX-5 motorcycle he was riding crashed into a Toyota Rush at a U-turn near Taman Puri Warisan along Jalan Tuaran bypass, here, Tuesday. Wong Yee Sang, 53, from Pahang, succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the hospital in Likas on Wednesday. The 25-year-old woman Toyota driver escaped unscathed.

City Police Chief ACP M Chandra on Thursday said initial investigations showed the woman, who worked as a nurse, was heading towards SMK Agama Tun Ahmad Shah from the hospital while the motorcyclist was heading towards the city centre from Tuaran when the 3pm mishap took place. The motorcyclist came crashing into her car as she made the U-turn, resulting in the man sustaining serious injuries.
