Kuala Lumpur: Muslims in Malaysia will begin the Ramadan fasting from Saturday. The Keeper of the Rulers' Seal Datuk Seri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad announced that the date for the start of Ramadan fasting has been fixed for tomorrow (May 27) as decreed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong after receiving the consent of the Malay rulers. Prior to this, Syed Danial in statement had stated that the date for the sighting of the new moon to determine the date for the start of Ramadan fasting by Muslims in Malaysia had been fixed for today.
