MPay eyes one million e-Wallet users

Kuala Lumpur: Managepay Systems Bhd (MPay) aims to increase the number of its MPay e-Wallet users to one million by 2020, said Managing Director Datuk Chew Chee Seng.He said the number of users could jump to 100,000 by year-end with the inclusion of businesses from Johor Corporation's subsidiaries following the two entities' collaboration on the nationwide deployment of credit card machines."MPay Wallet today has more updated features as we are going into fee-based, commission-based and facilitating trades.

"Currently, we process between RM150 million and RM200 million worth of transactions per year. With a million subscribers, it might hit RM1 billion per year," he told a press conference after unveiling Parcel Pay, MPay Wallet's latest feature, here today.Since the launch of MPay Wallet in April 2016, the app has been updated with major features, with one of its latest highlight being the ParcelPay, ParcelPay Express is a delivery service solution that aggregates on multiple couriers including PosLaju, Skynet and Line Clear, to provide automated shipping solutions. "Customers can send parcels from the comfort of their homes or offices, capitalising the stay-at-home economy," said Chew.
