RM10,000 up for grabs in talent competition

Kota Kinabalu: A grand cash prize of RM10,000 is up for grabs in Punya Sadap Sabah Talent, a new local talent competition.The competition is organised by D'Angels Event Organiser and Atukoifm in conjunction with the tenth anniversary of D'Angels Music Academy.D'Angels Music Academy founder, Diana Tuning, said the competition is open to any kind of talent and not restricted to singing.ADVERTISEMENT "Talents like dancing, playing musical instruments, magic tricks, comedians, gymnastics or any kind of unique and entertaining talent."There will be three auditions where the judges will select 10 participants for the finals to be held on July 1."We hope the competition will be an avenue to showcase good and unique talents which can be given proper recognition," she said.Atukoi FM Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Impongan, or better known as Othoe, said the radio station is honoured to forge a collaboration with D'Angels Event Organiser for the competition, especially when the station's tagline "Punya Sadap" is also used.ADVERTISEMENT "This is the radio station's first event even though we have not gone on air as we are still broadcasting on the Internet, but we are confident that our team will be able to run the competition."I hope talented Sabahans will grab this opportunity and register for the auditions.

We also plan to make the competition a yearly event," he said.The first audition will be held on June 9, while the other two sessions will be conducted on June 16 and June 23 with all sessions held from 7pm-10pm.
