Kota Mat Sator Museum launch on July 3

Tambunan: The launching of the Kota Mat Sator Museum and Kraf Exotica 2017 will be held on July 3 at Kg Kapayan Lama, near here.Tambunan District Officer, Thomas Logijin, said this when chairing the opening ceremony committee meeting on Wednesday. As the Chairman of the Implementing Committee, he said the opening ceremony will begin at 8am and will be officiated by Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

"The event is aimed at informing the public that the Kota Mat Sator Museum is fully opened in conjunction with the Tambunan Visit Year 2017. "The museum houses galleries and information about Sabah warrior Mat Sator," he said. He added that the Exotica Craft 2017 is an annual programme of the Sabah Museum to celebrate Sabah's cultural heritage. According to Thomas, various ethnic groups from various districts will be housed in the museum premises to exhibit and showcase their handicraft art.
