Timorese maid found hanged
Kota Kinabalu: A 42-year-old Timorese maid is believed to have taken her own life in a room of a house at Taman Yun Kiong, in Luyang, Tuesday, in the third such case within a week. Passport holder Tresia Paulus (pic) was believed to have had differences with her family over the choice of marriage partner.

She was found with a towel around her neck and tied to the window.

City Police Chief ACP M. Chandra said the discovery was made by a 49-year-old businessman who opened the door to his maid's room to find her by the grilled window at about 6am.

He felt her hand and alerted the authorities after sensing something amiss.

Chandra said initial inspections found no physical injuries on the body which was sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for post mortem.

A 22-year-old Chinese woman was found dead inside the toilet of a two-storey house near Pekan Manggatal, on Sunday.

On Saturday, a 20-year-old Rungus man was found dead after he was believed to have hanged himself at the Muslim cemetery in Taman Keramat, here.
