Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia SEA Games women's football coach Asyraaf Fong Abdullah called on his players to put behind the 1-2 loss against Philippines in their opening match and focus fully on their second match against Myanmar at the UiTM Stadium in Shah Alam tonight (Thursday)."The loss was really disappointing especially with the goals conceded and we also missed many opportunities as well.

"However, there is nothing much the players can do but to accept it and try to bounce back in our next match and I want the players to focus on that."

He said there will be a minor reshuffle in the starting 11 to curb the attacking prowess of the Myanmar ladies.

"I will make some changes in tomorrow's match with players of strong physical presence to try to absorb their attacks. Our opponents have also lost their opening match 2-3 to Thailand and will be aiming for their first win as well, so we have to be aware of that.

"We will try our best not to concede first and at the same time try to find the opening with our quick counterattacking game. The second half will all depend on the situation and we will alter our plan accordingly," he said.

The Malaysian team will take on hot favourites Thailand at the same venue on August 20 before the final match against Vietnam also at UiTM Stadium on August 24.

The probable line-up for Malaysia are Nurul Azurin, Malini Nordin, Eslilah Esar, Jaciah Jumilis, Shereilynn Pius, Uslizah Usman, Nurathirah Mamat, Masturah Majid, JI Fedaliah, Dadree Rofinus and Haindee Mosroh. - GL Oh
