Sabahan appointed envoy to Jordan

Kota Kinabalu: Sabahan Datuk Jilid Kuminding (pic) has been appointed Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.He was one of 10 new Heads of Mission of Malaysia to receive their Letters of Credence from Yang Di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Negara on Thursday.

Jilid Kuminding joined the Malaysian Public Service in 1988. Prior to his current appointment, he had been the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Papua New Guinea since 2013.

Previously, he was the Consul General of Malaysia in Hong Kong from 2010 to 2013 and the Senior Private Secretary to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Malaysia from 2008 to 2010.

He also served as First Secretary at the High Commission of Malaysia in Windhoek, Namibia from 1999 to 2004 and as Second Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Stockholm, Sweden from 1992 to 1996.

The Presentation of the Letters of Credence Ceremony was also attended by Foreign Affairs Datuk Seri Anifah Haji Aman.

R. Vasudevan (High Commissioner-designate of Malaysia to Australia), Ambassador Zakri Jaafar (Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to Bosnia and Herzegovina), Datuk Lim Juay Jin (Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Federative Republic of Brazil), Zanariah Zainal Abidin (Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Czech Republic), Sarah Nava Rani Al Bakri Devadason (Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany), Mohd Aznor Mahat (Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Lebanese Republic) and Loh Seck Tiong (High Commissioner-designate of Malaysia to the Republic of Kenya).
