200 Indonesian couples join marriage progamme

Tawau: A total of 200 couples and more than 400 Indonesian children participated in the Record and Publishing of the Marriage Act and Birth Certificate Programme organised by the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia (KRI), Monday.KRI Head Representative, Krishna Djelani, said the programme was first dedicated to Catholics and Protestants because it had already been advocated for Muslims several times before."The programme is held for four days from Monday to Thursday, involving Indonesians working in Tawau, Semporna, Kunak and Lahad Datu," he said during the launch of the programme at KRI Tawau office.

According to him, the programme aims to provide protection rights to Indonesian citizens by having a certificate of marriage and birth certificate issued by the Republic of Indonesia for their spouse and children.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
