Kota Kinabalu: Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (Anak Negeri) recently reached out to DAP and Pakatan Harapan (PH) to explore potential cooperation to effect regime change in the coming general election.Anak Negeri's Treasurer Thomas Tsen disclosed that the party was discussing with DAP on seats allocation and will soon reach a consensus.

In a statement issued here, he noted that he and several senior leaders of Anak Negeri were invited by DAP Sabah to attend its Mooncake Festival celebration held in Damai, recently, where they managed to touch base with DAP Advisor Lim Kit Siang and DAP Sabah Chairman Stephen Wong who were also present at the occasion.

Tsen disclosed that since its restructuring recently, Anak Negeri has gone all out to promote its struggles, setting up more divisions, recruiting professionals of various fields, including university lecturers and activists, in order to improve its service to the people.

"Such effort has been well received and supported by the people, especially those in the rural areas," he said, adding that Anak Negeri is ready to face the general election anytime.

Tsen also elucidated that Anak Negeri is a multiracial political party with key struggles including safeguarding the contents and spirit of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), to protect the various assurances by the Federal Government to Sabah which were stipulated in the historical Keningau Oath Stone, such as freedom of religions in Sabah, land rights vested in the Sabah State Government, preservation of the native customary rights and culture.

Besides this, the party is also committed to resolving pressing issues affecting Sabah like the rampant abuse of fake MyKad, eradication of dubious voters in the electoral roll, and to restore political position of Sabah natives.
