Abuse charge teacher freed

Tawau: A kindergarten teacher was discharged and acquitted by the Magistrate's Court here on a charge of physically abusing a five-year-old girl here.Magistrate Muhammad Faizal Che Saad freed Susisusanti Hassan, 28, when the prosecution failed to prove its prima facie in the case at the end of the trial.She was charged with committing the offence and causing physical hurt to the victim at a kindergarten here between 8.30am and 4.30pm, last year.ADVERTISEMENT Muhammad Faizal made the decision on the ground that the injury on the victim might be caused by her fall on the stairs at the kindergarten at noon before she met the accused who bathed her.He said failing to call the victim's friend who was with the girl when the alleged incident happened created a void in the prosecution's case.Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohammad Safarizal Zakaria called nine witnesses for the trial that began on Nov 28, last year, while the accused was represented by Abdul Gani Zelike.According to the fact of case, the girl complained of pain on her private part to her mother after returning from the kindergarten.ADVERTISEMENT Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
