Published on: Friday, October 20, 2017

Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu players are urged to give their best in their opening Chief Minister Cup qualifying round match against Tuaran at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) football field this afternoon.

Team manager Lokman Sunggim said on Thursday that it is important to have a good start before taking on Kota Belud in the next match on Sunday.

"A good start is really important for the team. We respect both our opponents but if the players are able to play their best and follow the strategy of the coach, we should be able to achieve the desired results.

"So far we are satisfied with players under the guidance of head coach Roslan Wasli.

We had some good results in our friendly matches including a 4-0 win over Penampang in the last match.

Hopefully they can maintain their form in this weekend's encounters," he said. – GL Oh
