3 new Kapitans appointed to serve KK

Kota Kinabalu: The Honorary Adviser of Federation of Chinese Association Sabah (FCAS), Li Su Fook, was among three new Chinese Community Leaders (Kapitan) approved by State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Noor to serve and improve services to the community in the city area.During the courtesy call, Hajiji advised the new Kapitans to be committed and dedicated in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities by ensuring the community's welfare is well taken care of. Li, who is also Honorary Adviser of both Kian Kok Middle School and Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) will serve the Sunny Garden area.

Serving the Istana Baru/Istana Lama community is Fung Chun Fatt. He is the Kota Kinabalu Basketball Association Chairman and Sabah Basketball Association Vice Chairman. He also serves as Kung Shan Alumni Chairman and Persatuan Penganut Buddha Xi Tian Vice Chairman.Kong Yu Kiong will serve the Dah Yeh Villa area. Kong is actively involved in Chinese education, serving as SM Lok Yuk Likas PTA Vice Chairman, SJKC Chung Hwa Likas Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Honorary Chairman and is also the Honorary Adviser of Hwa Siong Putatan Kindergarten. He is also the Honorary Chairman of the Liu Kwee Tang Association Kota Kinabalu and also the Deputy Chairman of KRT Taman Antarabangsa Likas.

Kong also serves as the Sabah United Chinese Chamber of Commerce Educational Loan Committee member and is a recipient of the Honorary Major (Angkatan Tentera Malaysia) award.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai who is BN Kota Kinabalu Coordinating Chairman cum Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Deputy President who led the courtesy call on Hajiji, said the three new kapitans were selected in recognition of their active participation in various associations and contributions to society and hope they would use their appointment to serve and contribute to a wider section of the community in their respective areas.
