Kota Kinabalu: A 19-year-old charged with raping his 15-year-old cousin was on Friday ordered to be sent to the Henry Gurney School.Sessions Court Judge Azreena Aziz made the order on the teenager after he was found guilty of the charge against him.He was ordered to be placed at the correctional school until he reaches 21.

The teenager was convicted of raping the girl in November, 2014 at a house in a village in Kuala Penyu.The offence under Section 376(3)of the Penal Code provides a jail term of between eight and 30 years, and with whipping of not less than 10 strokes, on conviction.
Eight prosecution and two defence witnesses testified during the hearing.Deputy Public Prosecutor Husna Abdul Halim conducted the prosecution while counsel Datuk Norbert Chin defended the teenager. – Cynthia D Baga
