Two Sabah women to represent M'sia

Kota Kinabalu: Two Sabah women – Lysabeth Karen Augustine and Jennifer Chok Pian Lian – were crowned Mrs Borneo International Global 2017 in the Mrs (Sapphire) 24-40 years category, and Classic Borneo International Global 2017 in the Classic (Ruby) 41 years and above category, respectively, in the Mrs Malaysia & Borneo International Global 2017 held at the Galaxy Banquet Hall, Sentul, in Kuala Lumpur, over the weekend. Lysabeth, a housewife, was also adjudged Mrs Most Beautiful Hair of the Year 2017 while Jennifer, a private tutor and freelance photographer, bagged four other sub-titles, namely Mrs Beautiful Body of the Year 2017, Mrs Most Beautiful Skin of the Year 2017, Best in National Costume of the Year 2017 and Best in Talent of the Year 2017.Harine Rathipriya Gundam Kuity, an air hostess with Cathay Pacific, and Suganthi Namasivayam, an air hostess with Malaysia Airlines, both of Kuala Lumpur, won the Mrs Malaysia International Global 2017 title (Mrs (Sapphire) 24-40 years category) and Classic Malaysia International Global 2017 title (Classic (Ruby) 41 years and above category), respectively, in the same pageantry. Harine also walked away with two sub-titles, Mrs Most Elegant of the Year 2017 and Best in National Costume of the Year 2017.

The foursome will represent Malaysia at the next level of competition – Mrs International Global 2017.Two other Sabahan contestants, Alice Kudus and Madonna Wilfred, clinched the Mrs Promising Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 sub-title and Mrs Best in Catwalk of the Year 2017 sub-title, respectively.The main organiser of this event was KL-based Shine From Within whose Founder & CEO is June Yap, who is also the National Director of Mrs Malaysia & Mrs Borneo International Global 2017.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Among the judges were six Sabahans, namely Jeff Lu, Datuk Aminah Ambrose, Datin Jeanette Tambakau, Joanna Datuk Kitingan, Janet Ginibun and Deledda Tan.
