Al-Aqar REIT to acquire car park for RM13m

Kuala Lumpur: Al-'Aqar Healthcare Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is proposing to acquire a five- storey car park for RM13 million from Selangor Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd, a 60 per cent owned subsidiary of KPJ Healthcare Bhd.In a filing to Bursa, the company said the purchase price would be satisfied entirely in cash, which would be financed through internally generated funds.

"The acquisition is in line with the investment objective of the Manager for Al-'Aqar to acquire and invest in properties with a view of providing a stable and regular income distribution to unitholders and achieve long-term growth in net asset value per unit," it added. – Bernama
