style="text-transform: uppercase;">Putra Jaya: Former Felda Chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad was at Bukit Aman federal police headquarters Thursday morning to have his statement recorded over the controversial transfer of Felda land in Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur.Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said Mohd Isa completed giving his statement at 10am.

The Royal Malaysian Police had reportedly set up a special team to investigate Felda's loss of ownership to four pieces of land in Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur.

Mohamad Fuzi said a number of other individuals connected to the case would also be called to give their statements soon.

"I don't need to reveal their names but we will list who to be called next to give their statements.

"We will try to complete recording the individuals' statements soonest possible," he told reporters when met at the launching of the Home Ministry's Strategic Plan Book 2018.

Last Dec 21, the media reported that Felda risked losing ownership of its land in Jalan Semarak worth RM200 million after the transfer of the land through dubious transactions since 2015.

The transfer of the land is believed to take place when Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC) appointed a local company as the main contractor on June 3, 2014 and was given the full power of attorney to develop the land.

Mohd Isa was Felda Chairman from 2011 to January 2017, Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) Chairman from Jan 1, 2011 to June 19, 2017 and FIC Chairman since it was established on July 2, 2013 until 2017.
