Man denies having stolen valuables

Kota Kinabalu: A 38-year-old man claimed trial at the Magistrate's Court here, Friday, to having stolen valuables.Jamil Mohd Andang, local, who appeared before Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie, is accused of having Reontra Bahanda's watch, necklace, ring and three pairs of earrings at 12.50am on Dec 28, last year, at the arrival hall of the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.He was charged under Section 411 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to five years or fine or both on conviction.ADVERTISEMENT The court set Feb 12 for case management and released Jamil on a bail of RM2,500 in two sureties.Jamil was represented by counsel Farazwin Haxdy.In another case, two people were penalised for committing drug-related offences.Matali Talip, 29, was jailed 12 months for having 0.01gm of syabu at 12.40am on Oct 15, last year, at Putatan.ADVERTISEMENT Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
