Saddi vows to shed blood if...

Sandakan: Sukau assemblyman Datuk Saddi Abdul Rahman has vowed to shed his blood if the Philippines is adamant on its claim on Sabah.While strongly supporting Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman's statement on the issue, Saddi said he is willing to die in protecting Sabah from the Philippines's claim as well as from any intrusion.

"I am to be with the frontliners and die in safeguarding Malaysia and Sabah's independence," he said, after opening the 14th meeting of Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of SMK Paris at the school hall situated about 120km from Pekan Bukit Garam near here on Thursday. Philippines Consultative Committee member Aquilino Pimentel Jr, who had been appointed to review the Philippines' 1987 Constitution, said he would propose the inclusion of Sabah in the Philippines as part of the country's shift to a federal system of government.

Saddi also called on the parents and teachers in the PTAs to work together and ensure the students are capable to record excellence in education aspect.

He said a combination of efforts and ideas among the teachers and parents through the PTAs in each primary and secondary school in the country could produce best results in the national exams.

Saddi who is also Rural Corporation Development (KPD) Chairman said it is important for the parents to understand and acquire knowledge so that they can help their children especially at homes in guiding them to finish their schoolwork. - Hayati Dzulkifli
