Tuaran: Sulaman Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Chairman Datuk Alexander Lo Su Hyen is confident that Barisan Nasional (BN) will win the Tuaran Parliamentary seat and all its three State constituencies – Sulaman, Tamparuli and Kiulu in the coming elections. He said that his confidence is based on various factors.

"BN led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the federal level and Tan Sri Musa Aman at the State level are proven capable leaders and good finance ministers," he said after a recent meeting chaired by Tuaran BN chief Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

"Even the investors, especially the Chinese, have confidence in them. In the case of Sabah, Chinese tourists flock here every day. I need not say more."

Lo said at the Tuaran district-level, it is Hajiji's leadership style which attract people, both Bumiputeras and non-Bumiputeras alike.

Hajiji is also the Local Government and Housing Minister as well as Sulaman Assemblyman and Tuaran Umno Chairman.

"And Hajiji has an able assistant in Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau as Deputy Tuaran BN chairman.

"Tangau is a high-level leader. He is Tuaran MP and federal minister plus acting Upko president," Lo said.

He added Hajiji also has capable leaders to assist him, namely Datuk Jahid Jahim (Tamparuli) and Datuk Louis Rampas (Kiulu), both of PBS.

Apart from that, Kiulu assemblyman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai and other BN component party leaders were also present at the meeting.

"So, we are a high-powered team. Don't 'play-play'," he quipped.

Tuaran has 53,672 voters out of which 2,973 are Chinese. Of the Chinese, 2,189 are in Tamparuli, 515 in Sulaman and 270 in Kiulu.

"I am equally confident that the majority of the Chinese voters will support BN. Their eyes are bright.

"LDP will work hard to win the Chinese votes for BN, be it in Tuaran, Tamparuli, Sulaman or Kiulu."

Lo concluded that the component parties of BN, be it at the Federal, State or Parliamentary levels are solidly united and they are '1Force, 1Voice'.

"Whereas the opposition is in a state of disarray, fighting among themselves.

"There are so many opposition fronts especially in Sabah. They are 'married; and sleeping in the same bed but having different dreams," he concluded.
