Drugs: Three held in S'kan

Sandakan: Police arrested three foreign men suspected to be drug dealers along with an estimated 110.5g of syabu in three separate cases, here, on Thursday and Saturday.District Police Chief ACP Mohd Azhar Hamin said in the first case, a 27-year-old man was arrested around 8.45pm at Jalan Tok Yen, Mile 11, on Thursday."The suspect was riding a motorcycle before he was stopped by police and investigations found a white envelope in his pants pocket containing crystals believed to be syabu, weighing 50.1g," he said, Monday.

In the second case, Azhar said a 46-year-old man was detained around 9.30pm in a raid in a room at a house in Setinggan Sabah Juta, Mile 11, on the same day.He said investigations found a transparent plastic containing crystals believed to be syabu inside the room, weighing an estimated 51g.In the third case, a 55-year-old man was arrested around 2am in a raid at a squatting area in Kg Forest on Saturday.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

"Investigations found a plastic packet inside the suspect's front pants pockets containing 94 small plastics filled with crystals believed to be syabu weighing 9.4g, in addition to nine sheets of foil," he said.

Azhar said preliminary investigations found the three suspects positive for drugs and all three were investigated under Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. In addition, he said the first and second suspects were also investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 while the third suspect was also investigated under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. - Mardinah Jikur
