Agong in Labuan for two-day visit

Labuan: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V arrived at the airport here, about 7.10pm Thursday, for a two-day visit.The special aircraft carrying the King arrived from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).The King was greeted on arrival by government leaders led by the Minister of Federal Territories Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Labuan Member of Parliament Datuk Rozman Isli, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Federal Territories Datuk Seri Adnan Md Ikhsan, community leaders and local religious leaders.

A special prayer was read by the Mufti of the Federal Territory of Labuan.His Majesty will join the Federal Territories Minister, the Member of Parliament for Labuan and community leaders for a royal banquet.The King will officially open the mosque, known as the Blue Mosque and renamed officially as Masjid Al Muhammadiyah in Kg Lajau, today (Friday) before joining the congregation for prayers with Labuan residents.In the evening, the King will join Labuan residents once again for a programme at the "Dewan Konvensyen Ujana Kewangan."
