Rohas shares rise on contracts from Tenaga

Kuala Lumpur: Rohas Tecnic Bhd's (RTB) shares rose in early trade Tuesday, after its 75 per cent-owned subsidiary, HG Power Transmission Sdn Bhd, bagged two contracts for the supply and installation of transmission lines by TNB worth a combined RM249.63 million. As at 10 am, RTB share was seven sen higher at RM1.47 with 34,200 units transacted.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Monday, RTB said the first contract, valued at RM126.85 million, involved the supply and installation of 31.8 kilometres (km) of 500 KV Double Circuit Transmission Line and 22.3 km of 275 KV Double Circuit Transmission Line on a Turnkey Basis.

Meanwhile, the second contract, worth RM122.78 million, entailed the supply and installation of 31.9 km of 500 KV Double Circuit Transmission Line and 32 km of 275 KV Double Circuit Transmission Line, also on a Turnkey Basis.

The lines would be installed from PMU Bentong South to PMU Lenggeng and from PMU Lenggeng to PMU Mahkota Cheras, and is to be completed within 723 days. – Bernama
