Labourer stabbed to death in Sembulan

Kota Kinabalu: A 56-year-old man was found dead after he was believed to have been stabbed by a distant relative in Kg Sembulan Lama at around 6.30pm, Tuesday. The labourer was found with stab wounds all over his body. A suspect was caught. The victim's wife, Salina Abdul, 58, said the victim went out of the house to check on his boat but moments later, her family told her that he had been stabbed by the suspect, who was in his thirties.

She said the suspect had taken a liking to one of their children but they did not agree to it, causing an altercation between them."We did not agree to the relationship as the suspect had mental issues. I think that might be the reason why he stabbed my husband," she said when met by reporters at Hospital Queen Elizabeth.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

The victim was sent to Hospital Queen Elizabeth for autopsy.
