Didin to lead Sabah challenge

Kota Kinabalu: Former world champion Didin Taresoh will lead the Sabah team in the Para Badminton MSN 1st Circuit Championships, 2018 to be held at Paralympic Sports Complex, Kampung Pandan, Kuala Lumpur from March 23-25.Tan Hwa Koon, President of Pesron (Persatuan Sukan Dan Rekreasi Orang Kurang Upaya Negeri Sabah) said the Ranau lad is set to defend his SS6 classification title and earn valuable points for him to be qualified for the next Olympics in Tokyo 2020.

Another player who is expected to do well is Shah Rizan B. Daud in classification SU5 while the others are going to spring surprises are Rahim B. Tinggal (Classification – SL3), Shahril Sieus (Classification – SU5), Hamid B. Bukoroh (Classification – SL4), Shah Rizan B. Daud (Classification – SU5) and the Men's Doubles of Shah Rizan B. Daud / Rahim B. Tinggal and Shahril Sieus/Hamid B. Bukoroh.

Tan hoped the team led by team manager/coach Awang Hazierul B. Awang Daud will give their very best in the competition and he also thanked Ararat sports and souvenirs shop for sponsoring the attire.
