Sandvik opens hq in M'sia

Kuala Lumpur: Sweden-based advanced stainless steels developer and manufacturer Sandvik has opened its Asia Pacific headquarters for oil and gas (o&g) tube in the capital.In a statement on Thursday, Sanvik said with increased optimism returning to the international oil and gas industry, the growth potential of the Asian region, led by countries such as Malaysia, and the opportunities that could bring to the industry on a global scale, had been recognised.

It said Malaysia is one of the largest and most dynamic oil and gas producers in Southeast Asia, contributing between 20 per cent and 30 per cent to the country's gross domestic product and housing over 3,500 international and local companies. – Bernama
