Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Junior Rhinos are out to prove their opening day 1-0 win over Kedah was no fluke when the two current top two teams in Group A of the President Cup competition meet again at Likas Stadium this afternoon (Thursday) at 4.15pm.Team manager Yassin Aman said that after watching the team gone through final training session at the Likas Synthetic pitch, Wednesday.

"We are definitely going for the three points, not only to prove the win over them at the start of the season was no fluke, we are also aiming to extend our lead over them.

"At the moment we are six points ahead with 27 and another victory will see the margin increase to nine points which will be a huge boost for the boys' confidence."

However, he admitted that it will be a very tough task even though with home ground advantage.

"It will be a very tough match and we expect that as their only loss this season was to us at their own home turf, so I am sure they will want to take revenge on us.

"The players have been urged to play their normal game and try not to make any unnecessary mistakes and make life easier for them.

"The team have so far played well and followed what was expected of them and I hope they will continue to maintain that momentum."

He also said there will not be any changes in the team line-up apart from defender Evan Wensley Wenceslaus who is out with a one-match suspension.

"All the boys are in good shape and only Ewan is not available following his third yellow card of the season.

In his place we have recalled Gerald Gadit from the youth squad.

"We may also call on midfielder Mohd Syukri Baharun and goalkeeper Joslan Aping who will be playing for the Under-19 squad today (Wednesday) and they are most likely to be on the bench if we decided to make the call," he added.

The probable line-up today are Sakri Masri in goal, Kelvin Pengiran, Ranilson Batuil, Gerald Gadit in defence with Zulkify Harun, Eddey Ladius, Zaki Sapri, Stanley Sulong, Aidil Safee in midfield while Ariusdius Jais and Shariman Mukarim will play up front. - GL Oh
