PAS vows a 'clean' Labuan

Labuan: PAS here said it is committed to serve Labuan and if given the mandate in the coming election, will introduce a system of administration on the island which is "clean and high integrity-based."Its Chief, Hamir Zahari, said: "Kelantan has been under PAS administration for many years and shown clear evidence of efficient financial system in the State. Kelantan has been given Number One ranking by the Auditor-General with a score of 99 per cent."ADVERTISEMENT He added that PAS had "zero" score on investigations by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).Further to this, PAS would also enhance human resources to an excellent level to prepare Labuan youths to face the future with confidence and be employed in well-paid jobs.PAS has been in Labuan since 1999. It was the first party to launch the local manifesto for the coming general election. It is understood that Warisan Sabah will be fielding a candidate, its first outside Sabah.Although PAS is in the KL-led opposition, it has fallen out with Pakatan Harapan and had lately aligned itself with the ruling Umno-led Barisan Nasional. - Sohan Das
