PKR's Jonathan wins Ranau

Ranau: Pakatan Harapan's (PH) Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate, Jonathan Yasin, won the P179 Ranau parliamentary seat, while Barisan Nasional (BN) won the three State Assembly (DUN) seats under it.The DUN seats won by BN include N29 Kundasang by Parti Bersatu Sabah's (PBS) Datuk Joachim Gunsalam, N30 Karanaan by Umno's Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun and N31 Paginatan by United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation's (Upko) Datuk Abidin Madingkir.For the parliamentary seat, Jonathan polled a total of 14,880 votes, incumbent Datuk Dr Ewon Ebin (BN) 13,804 votes, Soudi @ Sami Andang (Star) 3,148 votes and Andau Yasun (PCS) 1,110 votes.ADVERTISEMENT Jonathan won with a majority of 1,076 votes.For the Kundasang seat, Joachim received 3,971 votes, Siriman Basir from Warisan 3,716 votes, Japiril Suhaimin (Star) 2,105 votes, Datuk Henrynus Amin (Parti Anak Negeri) 733 votes and Jinus Sodiong (PKS) 166 votes.Joachim won with a majority of 255 votes.For the Karanaan seat, Masidi received 6,849 votes, Chong Peck Hing (PKR) 3,067, Azman Manaf (HR) 685 and Juhaili Sidek (Parti Anak Negeri) 104.ADVERTISEMENT Masidi, who is the incumbent, won with a majority of 3,500 votes.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Meanwhile, for the Paginatan seat, Abidin received 5,666 votes, Dr Julian Paul Sidin (Warisan) 3,600 votes, Feddrine Tuliang (Star) 1,870 votes, Satiol bin Indong (PCS) 362 votes and Mat Jali Samat (PPRS) 104 votes.
