I have seen that the development on the island was very slow compared to during my tenure, and this is sad to the people. He said since Tun Dr Mahathir was responsible for taking out Labuan from Sabah since 1984 and elevated it into a federal territory, therefore, Labuan development must continue. He also requested the Prime Minister to give similar instruction (as issued to Attorney General and other agencies), to stop any files movements or being destroyed at Labuan Corporation's (LC) office as massive abuse of power and conflicts of interest had taken place for the last 10 years by previous leaders. "Therefore, I want to return the glory of Labuan Corporation like before when I was the chairman for eight years, or at least back on track like before, without any elements of corruption and power abuse, as I learnt and adhered to the advice of Tun Daim Zainuddin who was once looking after the Labuan.
