Eight firms receive FAA Programme Accreditation

Kuala Lumpur: The Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) recently announced that eight companies have successfully completed the submission of FAA Programme Accreditation.Accordingly, the agency held a certification ceremony at Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara on July 3 to recognise Moody's Analytics United Kingdom, ProTraining LLC (United States), the Financial Institutions Training Centre (Nigeria), Renewables Academy AG (Germany), Islamic Banking and Finance Institute of Malaysia (IBFIM), Public Bank, UCSI Education Sdn Bhd and Permodalan Kelantan.

The FAA Programme Accreditation is described as a process to recognise that the design, development and delivery of a learning programme within the financial services industry are relevant to the needs of industry by meeting the FAA Learning Criteria and complying with the FAA Quality Framework.

FAA Individual Accreditation (FDA) recipients and Certified Training Professional (CTP) graduates were also recognised during the ceremony.

Thirteen members of the Malaysian Association of Money Services Business (MAMSB) and 52 Bank Rakyat branch managers successfully attained the FDA, while 37 achieved CTP.

FAA Chief Executive Officer, Khairul Nizam, delivered the congratulatory address in the presence of the management members of FAA.

The FDA is given to individuals who have successfully completed the FAA Recognition of Learning (FRL) assessment and accreditation process.

The CTP course provides a holistic view of the training profession, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills of designing, developing and delivering quality structured learning programmes in line with industry best practices.

Supported by Bank Negara and Securities Commission Malaysia, FAA was established to raise the standards and quality of professional learning and development in the financial services industry.

As an independent quality assurance and accreditation body, FAA supports the industry's human capital development aims of highly-skilled and internationally-mobile professionals.
