Nova MSC in talks with govt

Kuala Lumpur: Nova MSC Bhd is in talks with the government in the quest to provide supply services for digital government solutions, as well as digital healthcare. Chief Executive Officer Steven Chan Wing Kong said as digitalisation was becoming a norm, the government needed to catch up with the new approach as it was faster and cost efficient."We have been in the arena for more than 20 years and we have a proven track record in Singapore, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, as well as Malaysia," he told a press conference here on Monday. ADVERTISEMENT Chan said digital government products could be tailored to manage operations across building and constructions, land transport and legal government agencies."We provide a one-stop solution platform which streamlines and automates processes that needs long approval time such as permits, while increasing transparency," he said.As for digital healthcare, the software and services company aims to improve the healthcare system by centralising patient's information, clinical information system and hospital information system. Similar system has been implemented in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and several hospitals in the country.ADVERTISEMENT Nova MSC is considering introducing the pay-per-use payment system, Chan said, adding that as the system was owned by them, the government would not have to pay unless the medium was being utilised."They (government) do not have to spend millions in one go as we will only charge upon transaction.
