PKNP, Kossan to build city in Bidor

Ipoh: The Perak State Development Corporation (PKNP) and rubber glove manufacturer, Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd (Kossan), will jointly develop a RM1.5 billion integrated city in Bidor to lure investors and to encourage the development of new factories in the area.To be developed on 333.4 hectares of PKNP industrial land, the project would help boost the nation's economy by creating more than 6,000 jobs, Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu told reporters after witnessing the signing of collaborative agreement between PKNP and Kossan here on Thursday.Earlier, Ahmad Faizal had also witnessed the signing of a collaborative agreement between Perak Mentri Besar Incorporated (MB Inc) and ECK Sdn Bhd to construct 321 houses on 10.11 hectares, each with a built-up of 1,200 square feet.

The Menteri Besar said the developers would construct recreation facilities, including a jogging track."The houses will be priced at RM90,000, and priority will be given to first-time house owners and newlyweds," he added. – Bernama
