Jessica wins CIMB Girls U-19 squash in Ipoh

Kota Kinabalu: Jessica Keng won the girls under 19 title at the 9th CIMB Foundation National Junior Squash Circuit second leg held at the MPI Sports Complex in Ipoh on Sunday.The Sukma bound player who came second in the first leg in May was given the top billing with the absence of Aira Azman and she has no problem to dispose second seed Kiroshanna A/P Manoharan of Negri Sembilan 11-7, 11-4, 11-8 in the final.She had earlier defeated another Negri Sembilan player Chen Yu Ng 11-4, 11-7, 11-2 in the last four to book her place in the final.

He took the eighth spot in the boys under 19 as he did in the first leg with 8-11, 9-11, 8-11 defeat to Ong Jin Zher of Penang in the play off.The other three members of the team finished in the top 20 with Adam Amrie Goh ranked 14th place in the boys under 17, Muhammad Akid Izz Zulkifli finished 15th place in the boys under 15 and 20th place for Rebecca Lai Hung Ching in the girls under 17. - GL Oh
