Special video to mark Shareda's 40th joy

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Shareda) will mark its 40th anniversary with a special video clip to mark its contribution to the Sabah's property development since 1978 Shareda Nite Organising Chairman Johnny Wong Chen Yee said the committee is focused on making the event memorable."Shareda has come a long way and we are putting together a video documentary to show how the real estate industry has contributed to the development and transformation of towns in Sabah."It will be displaying old pictures and photos that we have taken from archives not only here but also other districts like Sandakan and Tawau, among others," he said.

Wong, who is also Shareda's Vice-President told a press conference another highlight of the event is an award presentation ceremony – Shareda Excellence Awards 2018.Five awards would be given out in recognition of outstanding achievements.The awards is the 3rd series this year to showcase the uprising trends in those five selected categories in the localised real estate industry highlighting the top quality developers, projects and innovations encompassing construction, development, architectural design and unique concepts, as well as green and sustainable building practices.The awards encompasses five categories namely the Property Man of the Year, High Rise Residential, Sustainable and Liveable Concept Development, Innovative Architectural Design Commercial Complex and Township Property Development.

The five awards are given in recognition to outstanding Shareda members' distinct contribution to benchmark projects successfully completed with high quality standards in terms of architecture and aesthetic designs, functionality of the development layout, overall maintenance and financial/marketing appreciation value of the properties in Sabah over the past five years from 2013 until this year. "More than 1,000 guests and members are expected and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal is the guest of honour.

"They will also be entertained by the top Malaysian comedian, Harith Iskandar who was also the winner of 2016 Laugh Factory's Funniest Person in the World where he will take the stage with Lim Wen Suen, the winner of The Voice Singapore and Malaysia 2017, Esther Applunius who was the One in a Million first runner-up in 2008, and DJ Uno Pop Shuvit," Wong said.He said there are lots of attractive prizes to be won such smartphones and return air ticket to Tokyo, among others.Wong also announced that Property Expo (PropEX) 2018 which is the annual premier property exhibition hosted by Shareda with its theme 'Smart Green State' will be held at Sabah Trade Centre from Oct 19-21.He said Shareda has always emphasised the importance of working with the government to ensure its vibrancy because its wellbeing speaks for the State's economic wellbeing.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
