No movement within to boycott Anwar: Syed Saddiq

Kota Kinabalu: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Youth Wing Head Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (pic) denied that there is a movement within the party's Youth Wing to boycott PKR President-elect Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's campaign in the Port Dickson coming by-election. He said as a member of the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council before the 14th General Election, he knew what he was signing and that it was a written agreement on the transition of power from Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to Anwar."This has been signed and agreed to by all parties," he told a media conference when commenting on the alleged boycott. ADVERTISEMENT He said as a young man he does not like to break his promise especially when he has put it in writing.On the matter of whether the by-election was too soon, he said it was PKR's stand and that it was better for them to address the matter.As for Pakatan Harapan, he said Pakatan Harapan has made its stand and that he would follow Pakatan Harapan's stand on the matter, adding that Pakatan Harapan's win is of paramount importance. On whether he as the Bersatu Youth Wing Head is prepared to campaign for Anwar, he said "No problem".
