From there, there was no turning back for Smart FC who used their experience and fast counter attacks to score two more goals to emerge champions while Ole FC settled for second followed by LS 99.

The trophy was handed to the champions by Herman.

The La Salle Alumni League will continue with its two other Cup competitions – La Salle Alumni FA Cup (knock out) and La Salle Alumni League Cup where it will be divided into two groups with the top two teams in each group entering the semifinals.

The league was started in 2006 by the then Executive Committee's Sports Secretary Winston Majaham, Treasurer Dr. Ted Leong and Social Secretary Barry Bullah.

Herman, who was also the President then, supported the Alumni League in its effort to attract more ex-students to be involved the Alumni's activities.

The Alumni leagues are open to all ex-students of La Salle Brothers schools – La Salle Secondary, Sacred Heart Primary, St. Mary's Secondary (Sandakan) and St. Martin Secondary (Tambunan). - Alex Ong
