Najib's mum gave good co-op during raid: Police

Kuala Lumpur: The mother of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak gave good cooperation to the police when they inspected her home on Thursday, said Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim.The Deputy Inspector-General of Police confirmed that police inspected the house of the former prime minister's mother Tun Rahah Mohammad Noah (pic) in Jalan Eaton, here, in relation to an ongoing investigation."We felt that her home needed to be checked pertaining to our investigation. We approached her nicely at her home and she gave good cooperation to the police," he told a press conference after attending the finals of the IGP Cup futsal competition on Friday.ADVERTISEMENT It was reported that as the former premier was being charged in court, police raided his mother's house.The raid took place at about 4pm, according to a family member.It took place as the former prime minister was being slapped with 25 fresh corruption and money laundering charges.Tun Rahah was at her house in Jalan Eaton when police showed up, added the family member.ADVERTISEMENT Najib's lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah also confirmed the raid, saying that nothing was removed from the house.Najib had slammed the raid of his mother's house, saying it was disrespectful towards Rahah.
