Labuan MP Rozman to join Warisan today?

Kota Kinabalu: Warisan Deputy President Datuk Darell Leiking on Wednesday declined to comment on rumours that Labuan MP Datuk Rozman Isli (pic) is set to quit Umno and join his party.When contacted, the Penampang MP told FMT he would be visiting the offshore financial island today (Thursday) and to wait for the announcement."I hope so," he said on Rozman joining Warisan. "If it happens, it happens. You will know tomorrow."

It had been reported that Rozman would announce his decision to link up with Warisan today (Thursday), to coincide with Leiking's visit to his constituency.There is also speculation that the Labuan Umno division chief will present his application to Leiking at the same time.Rozman, who was reportedly considering ditching Umno after the May 9 polls, has been non-committal about the latest rumour.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

He told The Star he would release a statement today (Thursday), adding that he was preparing a long note, longer than that of Mustapa Mohamed when the Jeli MP resigned from Umno.

Mustapa and Kimanis MP Anifah Aman exited Umno last month but have yet to join any party, saying they prefer to remain as independents for now.
