Hit-and-run suspects, including Sabahan woman, remanded

Selangor: The four suspects involved in the hit-and-run incident which caused the death of a woman at Shaftsbury Square, Cyberjaya, have been remanded for four days.The remand order was issued by Sepang Court's Deputy Registrar Alpha Anak Dragam Friday.Earlier, the four suspects; a 22-year-old Yemeni man, two Libyan men, aged 20 and 24, and a 32-year-old local woman from Sabah arrived at the court at 9.30am.

They were arrested at midnight Thursday at two different locations.The Yemeni man was arrested at Persiaran Putra Permai Selesa, Pusat Bandar Putra Permai in Seri Kembangan, while the remaining three suspects were arrested at Verdi Residence, Symphony Hills Cyberjaya.Following that, a sliver Hyundai was also seized.All four of them are students of an international university in Cyberjaya.

One of the suspects had admitted to have driving the car at the time of the accident.The victim, 31-year-old Wan Amirah Wan Alias, was hit by the car as she was crossing Shaftsbury Square at 7.30pm on Wednesday.

She suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Putrajaya Hospital at 4am Thursday.CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media.
