Kota Kinabalu: The High Court here Wednesday dismissed the originating summons filed by former Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman challenging Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal's appointment as Chief Minister.Kuching-based High Court Judge Datuk Yew Jen Kie ordered Musa to pay RM30,000 cost to the defendants.She also dismissed with cost of RM15,000 the Originating Summons filed by Datuk Jahid Jahim challenging the appointment of Cabinet members.

On June 4, Musa filed the originating summons for a declaration that he (Musa) is and remains the lawful Chief Minister.He named the Head of State and Shafie as first and second defendants, respectively.
