State Police karatekas emerge overall champions
Kota Kinabalu: The State Police Contingent karate team has reached new heights by becoming the overall champions in the recently-concluded Royal Malaysian Police Inter-Dojo Karate Tournament 2018.The team grabbed five gold medals, two silver medals and a bronze medal in the competition held at the Setiawangsa Sports Complex, Kuala Lumpur, from Nov 26-27.

The gold medals were contributed by Amber Ann Ashley Ambrose in the Kata Individual Girls 6-7 years old, Nur Rasyiqah Fari'ah Razmi (Kumite Individual Girls 8-9), Nur Radhiah Fathiah Razmi (Kumite Individual Girls 10-11), Syasya Nursyahidah Ali Husin (Kumite Individual Girls 12-13), and Muhammad Rafiuddin Faiz Razmi (Kumite Individual Boys 14-15).

The silver medallists were Nurdammia Majnun Mohamad Radzie (Kumite Individual Girls 8-9) and Ivery Jane Maria Ivo (Kumite Individual Girls 13-14) while Norshahliza Binti Irwan contributed the sole bronze medal for the team in the Kumite Girls 10-11 event.

Sabah Deputy Police Commissioner Datuk Zaini Jass in welcoming the team at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KLIA), here, Thursday, commended their effort.
