RM50,000 school aid brings relief to Lembah Pantai residents

Kuala Lumpur: The Ministry of Federal Territories presented school aid totalling RM50,000 to 300 students from selected national primary schools in Lembah Pantai.Its minister Khalid Abdul Samad said the aid was to provide relief and ease the burden of the poor in the area. "Within six months of governing the country, we are able to overcome many important issues such as misappropriation of funds and abuse of power, " he said. Commenting on the issue over enforcing 1am closing time for entertainment outlets in the city beginning next year, Khalid said this would depend on the licence or permit that had been granted to the proprietors and they should abide by the stipulated closing time. – Bernama
