Hot foods and liquids actually start a partial breakdown of the Styrofoam, causing some toxins to be absorbed into our bloodstream and tissue."Burning polystyrene in open air releases Carbon Monoxide and styrene monomers into the environment, which can be extremely hazardous to our health. This also contribute to global warming," said MP Jonathan.

He also said a healthy lifestyle not only means being active physically, but in observing the of health-friendly products.Jonathan said to be physically active and consumption of healthy foods are commendable but using environmental friendly products are also important."It is not enough for us to only be watchful of what we eat and drink. We must also be aware of what we use in, for instance, to store our food and drinks.
