Sukau YB Saddi joins Warisan
Sandakan: Datuk SaddI Abdul Rahman (pic) who quit Sabah Umno to be an independent assemblyman for Sukau five months ago has decided to join Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan). He will hand over his Warisan membership form to party President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal before the State Legislative Assembly sitting on Wednesday.

"I am joining Warisan without expecting any positions in the party or in the State Government. I met Shafie in his house to discuss.

"My priority and utmost concern are the wellbeing of the people especially the grassroots in my constituency who are in need of physical development," he said.

He also apologised to past leaders of Barisan Nassional if the decision he made did not make them happy. He said among the main developments for Sukau are a new township with own administration centre by 2020, a project approved by the previous BN government in 2010.

He said a blueprint to make it a district has been prepared, adding that Shafie gave a green light to some development projects which he highlighted.

He said it is in line with his aspiration to be with any local-based political party that fights for State rights under MA63 and the Federal Constitution.

"Warisan is a multiracial party with members and leaders irrespective of their races, cultures and religious beliefs in the State." - Hayati Dzulkifli
