TCL targets  among top 10  TV brands  in Malaysia
Kota Kinabalu: The Creative Life (TCL) hopes its television brand will take Sabah market by storm with its quality, innovative, competitive price and after-sales service. Its sole distributor in Malaysia, V Commerce Corporation Sdn Bhd Managing Director Lawrence Chan said being one of only three television brands in the world and the only one from China to be truly integrated, TCL has the capability to product products ranging from panel, backlight, and module to set.

He said TCL already has four panel manufacturer, and will increase to six panel manufacturer in 2021, adding that TCL is the only one in China which has full supply chain capability manufacturer.

He said this during a media conference during the launch of TCL's LED television in the Sabah market ceremony held at the Palace Hotel here, Wednesday.

"TCL television, having just entered the Malaysia market in April this year, TCL endeavour to further strengthen our dealer's network throughout the country in 2019 and embark on brand building activities to assist dealers in their selling activities," he said.

"We are targeting to be the top 10 television brands in Malaysia and forecast to achieve three per cent market share by end of 2019," he added.

He went on to say "We are new to the Sabah market, launched in April less than seven months ago, we intend to enter the market with sales of about 2,000 units next year with help from our Sabah authorised dealer Bright Scott Electrical Sdn Bhd Liew KS and his team."

He said TCL have enough range and enough category of colour television to play the game in the Malaysian market with about 14 models so far ranging from 32" up to 75".

"We will add another four or five models next year," he said.

"I think the customers , some may think twice when it comes to China brand, but times have changed, China brands in the global market especially TCL, we are no more like trial and error, that is why we have 28 retail and brand centres, and 22 manufacturing, that is why the quality is assured.

"The innovativeness will get only better and better, and the price is competitive, our price is a bit lower compared to the Japanese or Korean brands," he said.

Also present were Bright Scott Electrical Managing Director Liew KS, V Commerce Corporation Sdn Bhd Director (East Malaysia) Ivan Kang and V Commerce Corporation Sdn Bhd General Manager Cheng Sin Thin.
