Pekida: We've nothing to do with similar sounding Perkida

Kota Marudu: Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (Pekida) Sabah said it has nothing to do with the similar sounding Perkida which wants Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM or Bersatu) to expand to Sabah.It blamed a spelling mistake could have caused the confusion in the acronyms of the two organisations, the other of which is led by Datu Dr Datu Dr Muhammad Akjan Datu Ali Muhammad.Pekida Kota Marudu Chairman Ahmad Ridwan Ghazali said the organisation is neutral and pledges its support to both PPBM whose chairman is the Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Parti Warisan President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, who is also Sabah Chief Minister.

"Maybe there was a spelling mistake because Akjan is not the president of Pekida but of Perkida. Both are two different NGOs who share almost the same acronyms," he clarified.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
